Farfalla Daily Pleasure Travelset

Farfalla is a brand I was already intrigued about, and when the exclusive distributor for Belgium, shop Druantia, sent me a goodie to try I was excited.

The item I received is the Daily Pleasure travelset. This is a set with four small sized products for you to take on weekend trips or just to test something before buying a full size. This set comes in a lovely luxurious travel bag.

I love the elegance of the Farfalla logo and most of all, the butterfly zipper is just too cute. Scoring points on the package part already, I was curious about the real test.

As we were talking about taking a trip for a while, I told my boyfriend I had a weekend set to try for the blog, so we had to go now. He didn’t object, so off we went, to Delft, a cute little town in the Netherlands. The Farfalla set went in the suitcase and in our beautiful hotel bathroom I enjoyed trying these goodies.

Shower gel (20 ml)

Ingredients: Aqua, Coco-Glucoside, Alcohol, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Parfum (from essential oils), Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid (plant based), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil*, Octyldodecanol, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract*, Irvingia Gabonensis (African mango) Kernel Butter, Prunus Cerasus (Cherry) Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Coco-Glycerides, Citral**, Limonene**, Linalool**
*certified organic **part of natural essential oils

The test: This is a light weight shower gel that feels gentle on the skin. It’s pleasant to use and although subtle, the aroma is amazing. It reminds me of a sweet lemon pie with a tiny touch of mint. It smells very refreshing and different from anything else I’ve tried. Like!

Body Lotion (20 ml)

Ingredients: Aqua, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe vera) Leaf Juice*, Alcohol*, Lauryl Laurate, Parfum (from essential oils), Glycerin*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet almond) Oil*, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Octyldodecanol, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract*, Irvingia Gabonensis (African mango) Kernel Butter, Gellan Gum, Prunus Cerasus (Cherry) Flower Extract, Hydrogenated Colo-Glycerides, Glycine Soja Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamine E), Ascorbic Acid, Citral**, Limonene**, Linalool**
*certified organic **part of natural essential oils

The test: This body lotion is not that different from others. It does a good job moisturizing without feeling sticky afterwards. It rubs in fairly well, but when I used a bit too much I had to work it in a bit more. The smell is pleasant but subtle, which I like.

Beauty oil (20 ml)

Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (jojoba)*, Parfum (Natural Essential Oils), Citral**, Limonene**, Linalool**
*certified organic **part of natural essential oils

The test: This body oil contains mainly Jojoba oil, with some essential oils added for a nice aroma. I like the fact the oil is quickly absorbed in my skin. The bottle has a little drop dispenser so you don’t get too much out at once, but if you want to cover big areas of your body, you have to be a bit patient to get out enough. Personally I liked applying this oil better than rubbing in the body lotion, as the oil sinks right into my skin with almost no effort. They both feel equally soft on me, so in terms of performance they’re similar. Again, citrus aromas are adding to the refreshing feel of this line!

Natural Eau Fraîche (2 ml)

Ingredients: Alcohol*, Parfum (Natural Essential Oils), Aqua, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Citral**, Citronellol**, Farnesol**, Geraniol**, Limonene**, Linalool**, Benzyl Benzoate**, Benzyl Cinnamate**
*certified organic **part of natural essential oils

The test: I didn’t try any natural perfume or eau de toilette before, as I am very fragrance sensitive. But this is a very subtle product that gives a little extra touch without being overwhelming. I couldn’t determine what exactly I was smelling, but according to Farfalla it’s this: “With fruity notes of cassis and mimosa, in combination with a gentle, powdery base note of wood”. And it also says it’s perfect for a sun worshipper, so it suits me perfectly ;-)

Conclusion

All in all, these are some great products from Farfalla. They’re all certified with the Natrue label. Farfalla is a Swiss company that uses ecological packaging, is fair trade, vegan, and never tests on animals. The water used in products is actually mountain spring water. I love the fresh, sunny smell of the Daily Pleasure line.  This set costs 10,90 € and is available here at Druantia’s online shop.
