10 things I love about Yogi Tea

Want to know a fun fact about me? I’m a tea addict. I could drink it all day long, and some days, I do. As does my whole family. At first it was only the women: my mother, my sister and me. (Grandmother, aunts and cousins too, by the way!) We would make whole tea pots and enjoy. Then, my dad followed. Later, my brother too. And now, even my boyfriend has followed our tradition. He who said tea is nothing more but “water with a flavor”. Well, yeah, it is, but it’s such a nice flavor! Now, he drinks more cups of tea than me on some days.
By the way, I think another fun fact about me is that I really must be a family person, considering how much I talk about them on here…

Anyway, for me, tea means family warmth and cosyness. And that's why I want to share my love for it.

Cuppa anyone?

Oh, another fun fact. All of us are drinking our tea without any sugar. For some, it took some getting used to. But now, when I throw sugar in my cuppa, it just tastes nasty. On occasion, I add a bit of honey, but really, I like my tea just plain, how it is, so I can enjoy those nice, warming flavors as pure as possible. We used to be coffee addicts too, you know. And some of us still are. But tea is just healthier. And you can drink a lot more of it before you start trembling and feeling bad from ingesting too much caffeine, that’s a plus side too!

Curious about my all time favorite tea brand? I’m sure I’m not going to say anything shocking, but it is Yogi Tea. Yes, it’s more expensive than a regular supermarket tea, but it’s worth it actually. Here’s why.

1. Yogi Tea is organic. Besides organic foods (and drinks) being better for you, as they don’t contain any chemicals like pesticides, they’re also better for the environment.

2. Inspired by Ayurvedic philosophy, the brand has a holistic approach towards your wellbeing.

3. Their teas just taste fantastic. So much flavor in there, you won’t miss your sugar or milk.

4. So are their scents.

5. There are a lot of herbal teas available (so without real “tea” in it), and I like to drink herbal teas, because I don’t react so good to caffeine (and yes, also black, green and white tea contain caffeine).

6. The teas are developed for certain purposes. I personally like my Detox tea, because with my Lyme treatment, detoxing is very important. My boyfriend likes the Breathe Well mix, because he always has trouble breathing through his nose. Everyone will find something that suits them. Or multiple ones, of course!

7. I’m not able to do yoga yet, but I would love to try it someday, and I think it’s so cute that every box of Yogi has a yoga exercise printed on it (hence the name Yogi Tea, lol).

8. They even have a special women's range of teas. Didn't try them yet though.

9. For their Christmas Collection tea they cooperated with a company that works with disabled employees, giving them chances a lot of others wouldn't.

10. Last but not least: I LOVE that every tea bag has an inspiring quote printed on the label. Just great to take a moment and think about it, or just smile because of it.

There are so many flavors to choose from. I have got a lot of tea drinking to do before I can say I’ve tried them all… Luckily I don’t find that a punishment at all. Bring them on I say!

  1. My favourite is "Ginger lemon" :-)

I just drunk a cup and my inspiring quote was :
    "experience you cannot learn"...

Thanks Lea for stopping by :) xxx

  2. Big fan of tea at this end too! Also love Yogi tea & teapigs :) x

    1. Teapigs, I haven't heard of them! What a cute name I must say :) xx

  3. Does your blog have a contact page? I'm having a tough time locating it but, I'd like to send you an email. I've got some creative ideas for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great site and I look forward to seeing it develop over time.

    1. Yes, the contact page is above, under "Contact me". Thanks for the great compliments!

  4. I was getting workout injuries more often than usual, which reduced my regular exercise down to little exercise. The less I exercised, the more I felt out of shape. Green smoothies helped me by lowering the effects of workout injuries.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm always curious to hear what you think...
